Lets admit it, customers do not just buy a particular model of a car for its features, after sales service or for the sake of travelling from A to B, but looks also matters. In Malaysia, cars of certain brands can bring precious 'face' or in other words, present a good impression on its owner.

Additionally, if you have a beautiful girlfriend, driving her around in an equally beautiful car will set a lot of drivers jealous in the red lights :p

5. Hyundai Elantra

Making its Malaysian debut in 2012, its hard to believe this car is already 2 years out in the market. The car's design was inspired by Hyundai's very own ' fluidic sculpture', a fresh design language first seen in the 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The front has a very gorgeous headlamps that sweep back with lines forming a new grille in the middle. On the other hand, the rear comes with a duck tail spoiler and has nice curvy tail lights that seem to flow to the sides of the car.

The price of this car retails from RM 93,901.50 for the base spec 1.6L Auto to RM 117,888 for the highest spec ( the Nu 1.8L Sport) and comes with a 5 year or 300,000 km warranty.

4. Mitsubishi Lancer GT

Introduced in 2007, the Mitsubishi Lancer GT was brought to compete with another beautiful C-segment competitor, the Honda Civic FD series. The Lancer's aggresive front look and big 18 inch wheels make this car a real good looking ride. It even resembles the Evo-X, its 300 horse-power sibling.

Launched at a starting price of RM 315,436, it comes without insurance and with a 1 year or 20,000 km warranty. However, a check at Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia website shows they are no longer officially selling this model here. Perhaps one needs to have strongs connections or 'cable' to have them import a unit into Malaysia.

3. Alfa Romeo 159

Designed by famous Italian car designer, Giorgetto Giugiaro, this car is an Italian beauty that still turns heads today due to its rarity and gorgeous alpha macho look. The 3 circle headlights are lined together with the traditional Alfa Romeo V shaped grill giving it a sharp focused look, perfect for intimidating normal pedestrian cars in front.

Sime Darby Auto Italia is selling this car for RM 195,888 for the 2.2L JTS Selespeed model and RM 298,888 for the 3.2L V6 Ti model. If you do buy this car, prepare to set aside funds and time because Alfa Romeo's are known to be temperamental cars.

2. Audi A4 B8 

Launched in 2008, this car captivated many German car fans with its new looks combining new LED headlights, bigger air intake, revised front bumper and a slightly tweaked grill. This front design gives it a premium executive classy look. The interior inside is also well built, with many reviews praising it for its high quality fit & finish.

The Audi A4 1,8 TFSI retails on the road (OTR) without insurance for RM 235,000 while the bigger 2.0 TFSI model costs RM 309,800 OTR without insurance.

1. Honda Civic FD (8th Gen)

Honda has always make good looking cars compared to other Japanese car makers and this car is no different. When it was launched, its sporty front design with a spaceship-like dashboard and meters, good safety features like 4 air bags and VSC and a host of other goodies captured many buyers.

The 1.8L model retailed for RM 117,800 while the more powerful 2.0L has a price tag of RM 131,800. Currently the 8th Gen Civic is now replaced by the 9th Gen known as the Honda Civic FB.
