POTHOLE ALERT AT BANDAR UTAMA/MUTIARA DAMANSARA

For your info, we have spotted two dangerous potholes around the area of Bandar Utama & Mutiara Damansara.

1. Pothole near Sony building, Bandar Utama

Pictures from Google Maps :

The one at Bandar Utama  is on the Jalan Tanjung road heading out to Sony Bandar Utama office. It appeared out of nowhere and its like a crater of a small meteorite crashing to the ground , i kid you not, go take a look, you can practically build a camp out of it since its such a big hole on the ground.

2. Pothole in the tunnel under the Persiaran Surian bridge to Mutiara Damansara

Pictures from Google Maps:

The 2nd pothole is at the road - Persiaran Surian underneath the bridge road to Ikano Power Centre, Curve shopping mall & Tesco. If you are coming from the LDP, from Puchong/Uptown side, you will be turning to the left junction at the highway to go to Mutiara Damansara. After turning left, there is 2 road and the pothole is at the right road which goes underneath the bridge road.

The pothole is on the left lane and could be hard to spot due to lack of light. Its a series of small potholes and irregular surfaces on the road. Please slow down and try to avoid this deadly car tire, rim & suspension killer.

Safe driving everyone!

  2. I fell on that pothole at persian surian heading over to LDP on the 13th March 2015 Friday at 7pm. The pothole is at the underpass. However I'm still recovering from my injuries, i had a punctured right foot and grazed palms, arms, knee's as i was on my bike when it happened, It was dark, poor lighting. The pothole is only visible when you are closer, even worse i was below 60 km per-hour tailing a car in a brief distance, the minute the car went over the pothole it was already too late for me to move as the double lane has another car on the left. I wonder if i could sue anyone responsible for maintaining the roadwork, and yes it cost me alot of money to get back on my feet again. Do let me know who i can address my situation. Atleast they should be accountable for fixing my bike and compensate me for all the trouble i went thru from hospitals to clinics, troubling my family members to take care of me on the first 4 days cause could not walk, could not bathe, Also for all the loses i had. from vacation trip to performing at a friends party. Thank you for setting up this page.I find this helpful to get my message across.

    1. Sorry to hear about your predicament. Indeed its is terrifying to know that such a big pothole existed and nothing much was done about it for a while. It did shocked me when i used it last time hence i had to write it down here.

I believe it is the responsibility of the local city council, in this case MBPJ to cover the pothole . Perhaps you can take your case up to them. All the best and wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope everyone stay alert & be careful on the road.
